Why is it when you need to talk to people they say really stupid stuff like "don't feel that way"

Its so meaningless and invalidating
Louis has been playing with one of Carmen's babies. It is really cute. We had to convince him he was a daddy not a mommy.
He is so cute
My son thought he was a mommy for ages. Didn't worry me. He's almost 26 now. So far not a daddy. :)
ReplyDeleteI think people say 'don't feel that way' because they don't know what to say when you (generic you) confide or share with them how you're really feeling. I think they just want you to say, "Oh I'm fine, how are you?"
